The parishes and their churches
Twelve parishes in fifteen villages; fifteen buildings, all medieval, two are technically redundant (Morton-on-the-Hill and Little Witchingham), but still used occasionally and well-loved.
The villages presently have three regular publications: the Wensum Diary (Weston, Morton, Lenwade and the Witchinghams) and the Pilgrim (Alderford, Attlebridge and Swannington)and Hill and Vale (Elsing, Bylaugh, Lyng and Sparham). If you would like to receive copies of any of these publications, please contact us.
Most of our churches have been included on Simon Knott's excellent website. He includes many photographs of the interiors, and a great deal of detail - saving me writing it all up! The links to Simon's reports are given under each separate church by following the links below, together with other information about each village and its church.
For details of each church, please visit the ChurchNearYou website.
Click on the links in the toolbar above, or on the parish names in the list below, to see details of each village and its place of worship.
